Reduce Waste and Save Time With Versaloc

Posted on 23 Jan 2019

At Midland Brick, we constantly strive to be better – and we’re thrilled with our latest product, which helps reduce waste and site costs while increasing productivity due to the speed it can be laid.

The Versaloc® Walling System is a new Dry Stack walling system from Midland Brick which creates significant productivity gains, by allowing units to be stacked together without the use of mortar. This innovative, patent-pending system is the output of years of research and design work dedicated to creating a revolutionary Dry Stack walling system.

Versaloc® features a number of specifically-designed units to reduce the need for cutting on site, making wall construction even easier. Each unit has interlocking tongue and groove joints and self-locating top lugs to ensure that the finished result is a clean wall with shadow lines; ready for paint, render or clear sealing.

The Versaloc® system has many advantages over traditional block work, other Dry Stack products, tilt panels and other walling systems. It promotes rapid construction times with minimal bracing and formwork required and is adaptable for use in both large scale commercial construction projects as well as residential developments that require flexibility and versatility in a walling solution. Genuine time savings translate into bottom line cost savings and more profit for your business.

A fantastic example of this rapid construction is the ADCO development in the case study video above. To lay 8000 blocks across 640m2 took the Beyond Bricklaying team just 2.5 days – with another 1.5 days to core fill these blocks with 60m3 of concrete, and approximately half a day either side for set up/clean up, bringing the whole job to 5 days* from start to finish!
