Servicing the growing northern corridor.
Forty-one kilometres north of the CBD, Butler train and bus station is an important transport link for the residents of this growing northern corridor.
Designed by local architects Coniglio Ainsworth as a functional and passenger-friendly metropolitan transport hub, Butler Station has achieved this and more, including recognition in the 2015 National Architects Awards.
Completed in 2014 and currently handling for over 2000 passengers a week – with significant growth expected, Butler Station has to operate seamlessly and with little downtime for maintenance. To that end, the Public Transport Authority specified materials that would stand up to the daily rigours. This included over 6000m2 of Midland’s Heavy Duty clay pavers for the platforms and walkways.
