A place for healing
The Midland Hospital is a world-class health facility designed to serve Perth's east metropolitan and Wheatbelt districts.
With a focus on the region’s history and cultural diversity, the hospital features shady gardens, open spaces and a public art gallery. And in a nod to Midland's past, local school children have chosen a locomotive theme for the playground.
The external design complements the surrounding heritage buildings of the Midland Railway Precinct. And with locally made Midland bricks used in the hospital's southern block - similar to those used to build the Midland Railway Workshops in 1904 – the new hospital achieves an important historical link.
