The building blocks of the Telethon Home
Since 1968 Western Australians have raised over $300 million for Telethon, with the amount collected helping Western Australian scientists make significant advances in treating some of the life-threatening diseases that face children around not just Australia, but the world.
Recognised as the highest donating Telethon per capita in the world, Telethon reflects our community spirit and the generosity of Western Australians from all walks of life, both privately and in business.
For us at Midland Brick, Telethon starts early. At the start of each year, we sit down with the InVouge team to plan our involvement and contribution to the next Telethon Home. It’s an important part of our year, and has been since the very first home in 1972.
Each year the Telethon Home sets new standards in design and innovation to become a benchmark for many new home buyers, but it’s more than just creating a standout design. Each home is carefully planned to ensure that maximum dollars go to Telethon. And since its inception in 1972, Telethon Homes have contributed a massive $24million to the foundation – almost 9% of the total amount raised over this time!
At Midland Brick we’re proud of our long term association with the Telethon Home and appreciate the opportunity to work in partnership with like-minded businesses and contractors, all of whom have the same objective: to give of our very best to ensure the success of the new home.
Recent Telethon Homes have featured many of our new products, and not just bricks and pavers; but Cultured Stone feature walls, landscaping blocks, retaining walls and clay roof tiles, with each home having been a success in its own right.
