Important Information

Pallets

All masonry blocks are supplied on pallets only.  This will incur an additional cost per pallet and is refundable upon return.

Shrinkage & Control Joints
Concrete masonry products shrink over time. For unreinforced walls, control joints must be placed at intervals no greater than 6 metres. [Refer to our Technical Manual for details.]

Product Inspection
Inspect all blocks upon delivery. Report any concerns to Customer Service before laying.

Block Face

Blocks are manufactured with only one purpose made face.  If two faces are required for a project, please discuss with a Midland Brick Representative prior to ordering.

Colour Variation
Natural variation in colour may occur within and between batches. Website images are indicative only.

Matching Existing Products?
If matching existing blocks, contact our Sales Team for the best available match. Some variation between batches is normal.

Chipping & Breakage
Minor chips or breakage (up to 5%) may occur during handling. Use these for cuts and infills.

Sizing
Sizes and coverage per m² are nominal and may vary due to manufacturing and installation methods. Consult your Sales Advisor when mixing colours or patterns.

Standards Compliance
Products meet dimensional tolerances under AS/NZS 4455. Contact Midland Brick for more information.

Colour Blending
For consistent colour blending, mix blocks from multiple packs during installation.

Cutting Guidelines
Wet blocks before cutting to reduce staining. Wash off slurry immediately and avoid contact with laid blocks.

Wet weather

During wet weather we recommend all blocks onsite are covered with plastic

Block laying

All blocks must be laid dry and must not be wetted, except in extremely hot or dry conditions.  In these circumstances it may be desirable to lightly spray the bonding surface with water immediately before laying.  Confirm with your builder prior to laying.
